Summary:PURPOSE: A preparation process of an oxynitride phosphor is provided to contain a small amount of quadrilateral shape, thereby having high luminous efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A preparation process of an oxynitride phosphor comprises: a step of mixing a compound with empirical formula: (Sr,Eu)_2Si_5N_8, silicon nitride, silicon powder or combinations thereof, and aluminum nitride, and then plasticizing the mixture under the nitrogen atmosphere of high pressure. The oxynitride phosphor is crystal structure divalent europium activate phosphor having same crystal structure with Sr_3Al_3Si_13O_2N_21. The plastic temperature of the mixture is 1700 °C or higher.
