PURPOSE: A process for liquefying natural gas is provided to simplify process structure and to easily operate a liquefaction system. CONSTITUTION: A process for liquefying natural gas comprises: a step of precooling natural gas through thermal exchange with coolant in a first thermal exchange area(121); a step of liquefying the pre-cooled natural gas through thermal exchange; a step of separating coolant into a liquid phase coolant part and a vapor coolant part; a step of precooling the natural gas in the first thermal exchange area; a step of liquefying the natural gas; a step of pressing the coolant part which precools the natural gas; a step of pressing the coolant part which liquefies the natural gas; and a step of mixing the coolant parts.
