Summary:PURPOSE: A method for producing transgenic plants prepared by KRP1 is provided to overexpress cell cycle-related KRP1 in a plant. CONSTITUTION: A transgenic plant is prepared by transforming with KRP1(Kip-related protein 1). KRP1 is derived from Arabidopsis thaliana and is controlled by CaMV 35S promoter. A method for controlling the size of the plant comprises a step of transforming the plant with KRP1 gene and overexpressing the KRP1 gene.
