CONSTITUTION: A solid ink loading system for a phase change ink imaging device comprises an insertion opening(88), an access structure part(84), a push block(108), a driving member, an actuator, a loading request signal generator, and a controller(70). The access structure part makes the access to the insertion opening possible. The push block is supported within a supply channel. The driving member transfers the push block between a first end and a second end. The actuator operates the driving member in order to transfer the push block. The controller determines the operating state of an imaging device.
