Summary:PURPOSE: Low-impact and non-explosion type release device and method using shape memory alloy are provided to safely release an external structure by splitting a split nut by the upper and lower operations of a bushing and sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A release method for a release device(10) is as follows. Current is applied to a shape memory alloy wire. The wire is shrunk by a shape memory action and pushes up a trigger block(700). The trigger block moves to the top and a detent ball(320) moves to the ball groove(720) of the trigger block. The detent ball is released from a ball groove(221) and moves to the ball groove of the trigger block. The movement restriction of sleeve(200) is released and the sleeve pushes up by the elasticity of a compressed spring(410). A roller(310) moves along the outer circumferential surface of a split nut(500).
