Summary:PURPOSE: Dental shade mapping is provided to obtain spectrum reflection data from a multi-colored image of a tooth without using a spectrophotometer. CONSTITUTION: A device for obtaining dental shade mapping comprises: a lighting device which irradiates the light of a first wave length band, a second wavelength band, and a third wavelength band towards dental object; a mono-color image sensor array which forms an image set of the dental object; a reference target(28) in which a focus is adjusted against the image sensor array; and a control logic processor(38) which calculates image data value about each pixel and generates and stores color mapping according to the image value measured from a sample set.
