Summary: | PURPOSE: A method of extracting magnesium, boron or calcium from lithium containing solution at a low cost is intended to provide lithium compound with high purity by easily extracting magnesium, boron or calcium minimizing the loss of lithium at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: A method of extracting magnesium, boron or calcium from lithium containing solution at a low cost comprises next steps. Alkali is added to lithium containing solution and magnesium is precipitated as magnesium hydroxide. The Ph of the lithium containing solution is maintained at 8.5~10.5 and boron ion is adsorbed onto the surface of the magnesium hydroxide. The magnesium hydroxide with the boron ion is filtered from the lithium containing solution, and magnesium and boron are simultaneously precipitated. Carbonate is added by itself or by combination to the lithium containing solution from which the magnesium and boron are precipitated. |
