Summary:PURPOSE: A location information service providing method based on femto cell and apparatus thereof are provided to inform the location of a user to other users by grasping the location of the user based on a femto cell. CONSTITUTION: A location confirmation unit(560) confirms the location of a portable terminal from a storage unit based on location identification information of a femto cell included in a location registration message. A message writing unit(570) confirms the telephone number of registered objects corresponding to the identification number of the portable terminal. The message writing unit establishes a reception number as the telephone number of an alarm target. The message writing unit writes and transmits the message including the location information of the portable terminal.
