Summary:PURPOSE: A sustained release pharmaceutical composition containing pramipexole is provided to ensure effectively controlled release and to minimize impurity. CONSTITUTION: A sustained release pharmaceutical composition contains 0.0005-0.025 wt% of pramipexole or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient and pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. The composition also contains 20-50 wt% of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and 1-8 wt% of methacryl cationic polymers. The methacryl cationic polymers are poly(butyl methacrylate, (2-dimethylaminoethyl)methacrylate, methyl methacrylate) polymer.
