PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Semen Pruni Humilis extract for whitening and anti-aging is provided to effectively suppress elastase. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains Semen Pruni Humilis extract with whitening and anti-aging effect as an active ingredient. The Semen Pruni Humilis etract is isolated by heating at 50-95°C for 1-20 hours or dipping at 5-40°C for 1-15 days using water, ethanol, methanol, propanol, butanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, hexane, hydrous butylenes glycol, hydrous propylene glycol, hydrous glycerin, or mixture thereof. The extract is contained in 0.01-10 wt% of in dry weight. The composition is manufactured in the form of a lotion, skin softener, skin toner, astringent, milk lotion, moisture lotion, massage cream, essence, pack, soap, cleansing foam, or body cleanser.
