Summary:PURPOSE: A waste sludge drying apparatus is provided to rapidly dry waste sludge by directly applying heat, generated from the combustion of solid combusting materials, to the waste sludge. CONSTITUTION: A supporting frame is prepared. A hollow drum(20) of a rotary structure is installed to the supporting frame and rotates by a drying part. A transferring conveyor(30) is arranged in the hollow part of the drum and transfers a transferring belt(33) to one direction. A combusting material introducing part(40) introduces combusting materials to the transferring belt. A waste sludge introducing part(50) introduces waste sludge(S) to the hollow part of the drum. The combustion of the combusting materials directly supplies heat to the waste sludge.
