Summary:PURPOSE: An image processing method for brush effect process and display device applying the same are provided to process brush effect about a pixel in the use of image data according to the inclusion of a peripheral pixel. CONSTITUTION: A display device selects a first pixel of a processing target pixel(S220). The display device selects a second pixel of neighbor pixels of the first pixel(S240). The display device performs brush effect processing of the first pixel in the use of selected image data(S273~S286). The image data is selected according to include the first pixel and the second pixel.
