Summary:PURPOSE: A fuel injection pump having a separable plunger is provided to improve the performance of an engine by reducing fuel costs and exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection pump having a separable plunger is composed as follows. A barrel(11) is installed inside a main pump casing. A main plunger(12) is coupled to the inside the barrel. A main fuel outlet is formed in the main pump casing and the barrel and connects the main pump casing and the barrel. The main plunger is vertically slid along the barrel and compresses fuel flowing into the barrel to supply the compressed fuel to a fuel injection port through the main fuel outlet. A separable plunger(13) is connected to the main plunger. An elastic member(14) is inserted into the barrel.
