Summary:PURPOSE: A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent a spot on the edge of a liquid crystal display device at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel assembly(400) includes a common electrode display panel which faces a thin film transistor display panel. An AC electrode is formed on the common electrode display panel along the edge of the liquid crystal display panel assembly. A fixed electrode is formed on the thin film transistor display panel to face the AC electrode. An AC voltage generator(500) transmits an AC voltage to the AC electrode.
