Summary:PURPOSE: A method and a device for a secure scan of a data storage device from a remote server are provided to prevent data which is provided falsely by a malware from being provided. CONSTITUTION: An in-band processor(110) executes an OS(Operating System) and a host driver within a band. An OOB(Out-Of-Band) processor(124) uses a communications circuit(116) regardless of the state of OS and communicates with a remote server. The OOB processor receives a block read command from the remote server and commands a host driver to transmits storing command to a data storage device(120). The OOB processor transmits the searched data and authentication metadata which is received from the data storage device with the remote server.
