Summary:PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating the wastewater of a polymerized toner and a method for treating the wastewater of the polymerized toner are provided to eliminate materials, which are hardly decomposable based on microorganisms, from the wastewater. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for treating the wastewater of a polymerized toner includes a coagulating reactor(110). The coagulating reactor coagulates at least one material from the wastewater by contacting the wastewater with an inorganic coagulant and an anionic polymer coagulant. The inorganic coagulant includes at least one selected from alum, ferric sulfate, ferrous sulfate, and polyaluminum chloride. The anionic polymer coagulant includes at least one selected from a group including sodium alginate, polyacrylic amid, epichlorohydrin, dimethyl amine, and polyamine. The coagulant reactor further contacts the wastewater and an absorber to absorb an organic solvent and fine particles on the absorber.
