Summary:PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing diarylacetylene compound using acetylene based on a heterogeneous palladium supported carbon nano-ball catalyst is provided to improve the yield of synthesized diarylacetylene based on one reacting process. CONSTITUTION: A heterogeneous palladium supported carbon nano-ball catalyst includes a carbon nano-ball and palladium. The palladium is carried in the carbon nano-ball. The carbon nano-ball is a hollow/sphere carbon nano-structure with a mesoporous shell. The diameter of the mesoporous shell is between 200 and 500nm. The thickness of the mesoporous shell is between 50 and 100nm. The specific surface area of the mesoporous shell is between 1000 and 1200m^2/g. The pore volume of the mesoporous shell is between 1.00 and 2.00cm^3/g. A diarylacetylene compound is obtained by reacting acetylene and aryl halide under the heterogeneous palladium supported carbon nano-ball catalyst.
