Summary:PURPOSE: Gear test equipment and method using torsional vibration are provided to enable torsional vibration characteristic following rotation of a gear to be accurately recognized and the torsional vibration characteristic of the gear and processed degree of the gear to be simultaneously recognized. CONSTITUTION: Gear test equipment using torsional vibration comprises a master gear(10), a first mount(20), a test gear(30), a second mount(40), a driving unit(50) and a rotating-speed detector. The master gear works as reference for testing the processed state of a gear. The first mount holds the master gear. The test gear is meshed with the master gear and is rotated. The second mount holds the test gear. The driving unit applies torque to any one of the master and test gears. The rotating-speed detector detects the rotating speed of the test and master gears.
