Summary: | PURPOSE: An ultrasound system for selecting a 2D slice image from a 3D ultrasound image and method thereof are provided to rotate or move a control volume without manipulation of a separate key button, thereby quickly and accurately selecting the section of a 3D ultrasound image that a user wants to check. CONSTITUTION: A 3D ultrasound image obtaining unit(110) obtains a 3D ultrasound image of an object. A 2D slice image selecting unit(120) comprises a control volume unit. The 2D slice image selecting unit forms a selective plane to select a 2D slice image from a 3D ultrasound image. A processor(130) extracts at least one 2D slice image corresponding to the selective plane from the 3D ultrasound image. A display unit(140) displays the 3D ultrasound image obtained by the 3D ultrasound image obtaining. |
