Summary:PURPOSE: An optical system for a camera is provided to be mutually compensated by the contraction and the expansion of plastic lenses based on external temperature. CONSTITUTION: An optical system for a camera is composed of a first lens(L1), a second lens(L2), a third lens(L3), and a fourth lens(L4) from the object side. The first lens includes a meniscus shape and is convex toward the object side. A minus refraction power is applied to the first lens. The second lens is convex toward the object side and includes a minus refraction power. The third lens is convex toward the object side and includes a plus refraction power. The fourth lens is convex toward the phase side and includes plus refraction index. An aperture is installed between the third lens and the fourth lens.
