PURPOSE: A method for controlling a paste dispenser is provided to regularly maintain a gap between a nozzle and a substrate by optimally controlling vertical position of a nozzle according to the height variation of the upper side of the substrate. CONSTITUTION: A paste dispenser comprises a head unit consisting of a nozzle for discharging the paste to a substrate mounted on a stage and an Z-axis driving part controlling the vertical position of the nozzle. A method for controlling a paste dispenser comprises the steps of: (i) measuring the height variation value of the upper side of the substrate mounted on the stage; and (ii) controlling the driving of the Z-axis driving part using the measured height variation value of the substrate.
