PURPOSE: A method for controlling a paste dispenser is provided to improve the applicability of paste by vertically controlling the position of a nozzle discharging paste using the measured height of upper sides of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A paste dispenser includes a head unit including a nozzle, a first driving unit which vertically transfers the head unit, and a second driving unit which is installed in the head unit and vertically transfers the nozzle. A method for controlling a paste dispenser comprises the steps of: (S11) measuring the height of the upper side of a substrate mounted on a stage; and (S13) applying the paste to the substrate while controlling the first driving part and second driving part using the measured height of the upper side of the substrate.
