Summary:PURPOSE: An electronic device and control method thereof are provided to increase the emotional quality of an electronic device and to sense the state of paper by displaying a result value. CONSTITUTION: A sensing unit(150) senses the state and paper and the state of taking note. A controller(140) displays a result value based on a sensing result on a display unit(130). The sensing unit includes a first sensing unit(151) which senses the state of paper and a second sensing unit(153) which senses the state of taking note. The first/second sensing units include a camera and an ultrasonic detector.
