Summary:PURPOSE: Device and method for controlling the torque/fuel efficiency of a vehicle are provided to enable a driver to control the torque and fuel efficiency of a vehicle depending on the current situation and external environment of the vehicle by gradually raising the torque or fuel efficiency of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the torque/fuel efficiency of a vehicle comprises a torque/fuel-efficiency setting unit(200), a control unit(210) and a torque/fuel- efficiency control unit(220). The torque/fuel-efficiency setting unit generates a torque raise signal or a fuel-efficiency raise signal according to the operation of a driver. According to the output signal of the torque/fuel-efficiency setting unit, the control unit adds or subtracts a predetermined offset value to/from current torque/fuel-efficiency control value. The control unit generates the torque/fuel-efficiency control value. The torque/fuel-efficiency control unit controls the torque/fuel efficiency of the vehicle according to the torque/fuel-efficiency control value, which is output from the control unit.
