Summary:PURPOSE: A disk brake is provided to suppress the deformation of a return spring, thereby preventing the contact position of a return spring from being out of joint in a mounting member. CONSTITUTION: A disk brake comprises a mounting member(2), a caliper(5), and a return spring(21). The mounting member is formed on the outer surface of a disk(1) in the axial direction thereof. The mounting member supports a pair of friction pads(9) to be slidable. The caliper is installed in the mounting member to be slidable. The caliper presses a pair of friction pads on both sides of the disc. The return spring is installed between the friction pad and the mounting member. The return spring comprises a fixing part, a contact part, an extension part, and a folding part.
