Summary:PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and an information input method using the same are provided to use a key input unit and a touch panel as an information input device. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(132) is arranged in parallel with a touch panel. The key input unit includes a plurality of dome keys. A control unit(180) receives a touch signal transmitted from the touch panel. If it receives a key signal which is transmitted from a key input unit in a predetermined time, the control unit processes a key signal. If is does not receives a key signal in the predetermined time, the control unit processes the touch signal.
