Summary:PURPOSE: A UI providing method and a display device displaying the same are provided to easily search a desired image by applying a different two or more classification references according to direction of an operation and receiving an operation corresponding to two or more axial directions. CONSTITUTION: An operating unit(170) receives a user operation corresponding to two or more axial directions. A control unit searches an image from storing unit(165) by applying different two or more classification references according a direction of the operation. The axial directions include a first, a second and a third axial direction. The classified references include a first, a second and a third classification reference. If an operation corresponding to the first axial direction, the control unit searches an image according to the first classification reference.
