Summary:The present invention relates to a process for preparing lithium vanadium oxides and also a process for producing mixtures of a lithium vanadium oxide and at least one electrically conductive material. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of lithium vanadium oxides or of mixtures of a lithium vanadium oxide and at least one electrically conductive material for producing cathodes for batteries and in electrochemical cells. In addition, the invention relates to cathodes which comprise a lithium vanadium oxide or a mixture of a lithium vanadium oxide and at least one electrically conductive material.
