Summary:Aqueous dispersible polyurethane (I) with linear backbone from alternating hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments, is new, where: both terminal segments (T) of (I) is hydrophobic; at each segment of (T), a hydrophilic segment (S1) is directly connected; at each segment of (S1), at least a hydrophobic segment (D) is directly connected on at least a side; (I) contains at least a hydrophobic segment (P1); the hydrophobic segment (P1) is separated into two segments, when (I) contains many (P1); and (I) exhibits at least three hydrophilic segments. Aqueous dispersible polyurethane (I) with linear backbone of alternating hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments, is new, where: both terminal segments (T) of (I) is hydrophobic; at each segment of (T), a hydrophilic segment (S1) is directly connected; at each segment of (S1), at least a hydrophobic segment (D) is directly connected on at least a side; (I) contains at least a hydrophobic segment (P1); the hydrophobic segment (P1) is separated into two segments, when (I) contains many (P1); (I) exhibits at least three hydrophilic segments; the ratio of the molecular weights of each hydrophilic segment (S1) to the molecular weight of each hydrophilic segments (P1) is 1:1.4-1:140; the at least two hydrophobic segments (D) is aliphatic diisocyanate residue; and at least one of the hydrophilic segment (P1) is a polyether residue with a number average molecular weight of at least 1500 g/mole, or a mixture of different polyurethanes. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of (I); and (2) a composition comprising (I) and water.
