Summary:A relay system and a method for realizing bandwidth assignment and dispatch are disclosed, and the method comprises: adding new information elements in the control message of the downlink sub-frames for the BS physical layer frame structure, the information element is used for indicating the location and use method of each burse for the corresponding connection of the user station/mobile user station; the BS receiving and generating control messages containing the new information elements according to the bandwidth request initiated by the user station/mobile user station and relayed by the relay station, and sending the messages to the user station/mobile user station for performing bandwidth assignment and dispatch. The present invention solves the processing method for the bandwidth request, bandwidth assignment, and service dispatch of the relay system, solves the problem of multi-hop relay, simplifies the complexity in the BWA relay network, and reduces the complexity of the RS.
