Summary:PURPOSE: A method for removing endotoxins in contrast media is provided to minimize endotoxins to less than 1 EU/ml. CONSTITUTION: An endotoxin is removed from contrast media by passing the contrast media through an anion exchange membrane. The contrast media is a non-ionic iodide contrast medium. The viscosity of the contrast medium is 20-35 mPas. The contrast medium contains 1,3-bis(formylamino)-N,N'-bis[3,5-bi8s(2,3-dehydroxypropylaminocarbonyl)-2,4,6-triiodophenyl]-2-hydroxy-propane.
