Summary:PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing a personalized moving picture are provided to select an interest section in moving picture data, thereby producing a personalized moving picture by editing the interest section. CONSTITUTION: A moving picture driving unit(131) provides a selected moving picture among moving pictures to a user terminal. An interested section metadata generating unit(133) generates interest section metadata. An interested section searching unit(134) searches information about an interest section corresponding to a search condition from a database(140). A section integrating metadata generating unit(135) generates section integrating metadata. The section integrating metadata generating unit includes metadata of a selected interested section and information about a playback order.
