PURPOSE: A method and a system for authenticating a real name by biometric authentication, and a portable storage device therefor are provided to authenticate a real name using information which recognizes biometric information of a user, thereby increasing reliability in real name authentication. CONSTITUTION: A biometric information recognizer(120) recognizes a body of a user to generate biometric information. A portable storage device(110) stores the biometric information. A biometric information management server(130) connects the user information with the biometric information and manages the connected information. If real name authentication information is requested, a user terminal(140) transmits the user information and the biometric information. A service server(150) authenticates the real name of the user using the received biometric information.
