Summary:PURPOSE: A glove box system and a control method thereof are provided to prevent the contamination of the inside of a glove box caused by the penetration of external foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: A glove box system(100) comprises a glove box(110), a gate unit(120), an opening/closing detection unit(125), and a pressure control unit(130). The gate unit is arranged on a side of the glove box and opened/closed to put work pieces in the glove box. The opening/closing detection unit generates a gate unit opening signal when the gate unit starts to open. The pressure control unit raises or reduces the internal pressure of the glove box, wherein the internal pressure is raised above the atmospheric pressure when the pressure control unit receives the gate unit opening signal from the opening/closing detection unit.
