Summary:PURPOSE: A flame retardant composition is provided to impart desirable flame retardancy with small amount of flame retardant process and to prevent loss during successive laundry. CONSTITUTION: A flame retardant composition for polyester comprises at least one of cyclic phosphate ester represented by chemical formula (I) and chemical formula (II), and guanidine sulfamate. In chemical formulas, R1 is C1-4 alkyl group. The cyclic phosphoric acid ester of chemical formula (I) is manufactured by: heating bicyclic phosphate, methyl dimethylphosphonate, NaOH and AlCl3 under nitrogen to 175°C; and stirring them at 175-185 °C for 12 hours; and cooling the reactant at a room temperature to obtain yellow solid.
