Summary:PURPOSE: A dual SIM(Subscriber Identify Module) mobile terminal using a single base chipset and an operating method thereof are provided to support dual standby and single talk using a single base band. CONSTITUTION: A controller(S180) is connected to dual SIMs and two wireless communication units(S110,S110-1). The controller supports double standby and single talk. The dual SIM comprises the primary SIM and the secondary SIM. When a user has a call through one wireless communication unit, the controller pages a network state or receives a call through another wireless communication unit.
