Summary:PURPOSE: A 3-N,N-dimethyl carbamoyl quercetin is provided to improve solubility, chemical stability and cell permeability. CONSTITUTION: A 3-N,N-dimethyl carbamoyl quercetin is denoted by chemical formula 1. The compound for chemical formula 1 is quercetin prodrug. A pharmaceutical composition contains the compound of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the compound of chemical formula 1 or salt thereof comprises: a step of reacting diphenyl dichloromethane and quercetin to obtain a masking group; a step of adding masking group-induced quercetin with dimethyl carbamoyl chloride and sodium hydride to synthesize bis-dimethyl carbamoyl quercetin conjugate; and a step of adding palladium/charcoal to bis-dimethyl carbamoyl quercetin conjugate to convert to dimethylcarbaminic acid quercetin ester.
