Summary:PURPOSE: An information processing apparatus and a control method are provided to display the menu by merging the contents of menus made by plug-in. CONSTITUTION: A menu obtaining unit(303) acquires the menu information displayed on a management screen to be able to select the management function. A description unit(302) uses the menu information to write the description information of the management screen. A menu information preparation unit(305) of plug-in writes the menu information enabling the execution of the management function expanded by plug-in. The menu obtaining unit acquires the menu information made by the menu information preparation unit of the installed plug-in.
