Summary: | PURPOSE: An antioxidant is provided to obtain excellent antioxidant effects by including nanodiamonds having a functional surface and to be used as an additive for water, beverages, foods, cosmetics, medicines, coating materials, and structural materials due to excellent dispersibility in a liquid phase. CONSTITUTION: An antioxidant comprises surface-functionalized nanodiamond compounds, which are marked by chemical formula 1 of ND-(R)_n or their salts. In chemical formula 1, n is an integer of more than 2 and ND is a nanodiamond single particle. R is a moiety which is chemically bonded to the surface of the nanodiamonds and has a chemical structure which his selected from an amine group(NH_2), a hydroxyl group(OH), a carboxyl group(COOH), or their combination. |
