Summary:PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to enable a user to recognize whether a separated image signal is normally inputted. CONSTITUTION: Image signals that are separately inputted to input terminals are merged. An image processing unit(300,400) processes a merged image signal, to be displayed, on a display unit(100). If the separated remaining signal of the image signal is not inputted to the input terminal when a separated part of the image signal is inputted to one input terminal, a controller(350,450) displays an error message on the display unit.
