Summary:PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for reducing message interruption time of a wireless communication system are provided to improve a message communication speed by efficiently processing a retransmission procedure according to a message error during RRC transmission. CONSTITUTION: When an RRC(Radio Resource Control) message is transmitted at a transmission time interval, a transmission unit transmits an RRC message, which is created after generating the RRC message, at least two times(311-317). A reception unit creates a normal or abnormal response message after analyzing the same RRC message which is continuously received. The reception unit transmits the created normal or abnormal response message to the transmission unit(321-327). When the normal response message is received, the transmission procedure of the RRC message is completed.
