PURPOSE: A liquid crystal compound, liquid crystal medium, and liquid crystal display are provided to ensure high dielectric anisotropy, birefringence index, and clearing point, and low critical voltage. CONSTITUTION: A compound is denoted by chemical formula I. In chemical formula I, R^1 and R^2 are independently H, F, Cl, Br, -CN, -SCN, -NCS, SF5, straight or branched alkyl of 1-12 carbon atoms; A^1 is same or differently phenylene-1,4-diyl, cyclohexane-1,4-diyl, cyclohexene]-1,4-diyl, bicycle[1.1.1]pentane-1,3-diyl, or spiro[3.3]heptane-2,6-diyl; and Z^1 and Z^2 are independently -CF2O-, -OCF2-, -CH2O-, -OCH2-, -C2H4-, -C2F4-, -CF2CH2-, -CH2CF2-, -CFHCFH-, -CFHCH2-, -CH2CFH-, -CF2CFH-, CFHCF2-, -CH=CH-, -CF=CH-, -CH=CF-, -CF=CF-, -C≡C-, or single bond.
