Summary:PURPOSE: An image forming device and a method for correcting picture quality thereof are provided to correct an output state of resolution modes using one chart output result. CONSTITUTION: A printing unit(120) outputs a chart for correction by one of resolution modes. A scan unit(130) scans the outputted chart for correction. A correcting unit(150) corrects an image by resolution modes using a color value of the scanned chart for correction. The correcting unit corrects the image by correcting a half tone table by resolution modes. The resolution modes include a normal mode, a best mode, and a draft mode.
