Summary:PURPOSE: A detecting device using proximity sensor and a portable terminal thereof are provided to prevent malfunction of a proximity sensor sensing whether an external object is close, thereby improving accuracy which senses whether an external object is close. CONSTITUTION: A proximity sensor(110) senses proximity of an external object. A lens body(121) comprises a first and a second through hole(122,123). The first through hole penetrates light emitting from a light emitting unit of the proximity sensor. The second through hole penetrates light coming into photo diode of the proximity sensor which is reflected from the external object. A reflective film(125) is formed inside the lens body to protect edge of a first and a second through hole. The lens body and reflective film manufacture into one body by dual injection moding.
