PURPOSE: A method and a system for providing an advertising service based on an address using an interactive TV widget are provided to supply an interactive addressed based advertisement using a widget. CONSTITUTION: A gateway server(501) receives requested advertisement widget contents from an address based advertisement server(503). The gateway server transmits the transmitted advertisement widget contents to an interactive TV terminal. The address based advertisement server extracts the requested advertisement widget contents. The address based advertisement server transfers the extracted advertisement widget contents to the gateway server. An interactive TV system linkage server(504) offers the address information of an interactive TV terminal of a subscriber and interactive TV service subscriber information.
