Summary:PURPOSE: A method and a device for recognition of human activity based on an activity theory are provided to perform a self-learning program by updating learning data as the behavior recognized by a user. CONSTITUTION: A motion recognition unit(30) recognizes one of predetermined defined motions as use motion by using measured external physical data, and a behavior judgment unit(50) judges the observed behavior of a user corresponding to the recognized motion by using learning data associated with the behavior comprising the motion. The behavior judgment unit comprises: a behavior learning unit(52) which generate the learning data by using learning sample data; a learning information storage unit(54) which stores the learning data; and a learning recognition unit.
