Summary:PURPOSE: A stroke based input system for character input is provided to input strokes on display activation unit nearby to a display output unit, thereby maintaining focus about a device display. CONSTITUTION: A processor(16) performs stroke-based UI(User Interface) routine. The stroke-based UI(User Interface) routine exhibits a display output unit(50), a display activation unit(52), and a display filter unit(54) on a display. The stroke-based UI routine receives stroke-based input in a shape of transformed stroke. The stroke-based UI routine interrelate the transformed stroke with a standard stroke.
