Summary:PURPOSE: In case caller information does not exist in a phonebook of a storage unit, a mobile communication terminal proceeding a caller information acquisition function and a method thereof are provided to acquire the caller information automatically by requesting the caller information to a caller terminal. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(150) stores a phone book. In case caller information does not exist in the phone book, a control unit(160) requests the caller information to a caller terminal. The control unit stores the received caller information in the phone book. A transceiver(140) receives a call request signal and phone number information of a caller from a base station.
