Summary:PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling power consumption in multi modem system are provided to predict the current consumption according to a ISR process in advance and controls a point of processing time of ISR, thereby preventing that the current consumption of whole system exceeds a peak current threshold when a plurality of modems and CPU is operating at the same time. CONSTITUTION: An interrupt controller(310,320) detects an interrupt generated by each modem(320~324). ISR(Interrupt Service Routine) controller(330) calculates the current consumption of a system about a processing time of the generated interrupt. The ISR controller compares the current consumption of the system with a set critical value and controls the processing timed of the interrupt.
