PURPOSE: A container mold exchanging apparatus is provided to efficiently replace a tread mold of a container separated from a vulcanizer. CONSTITUTION: A container mold exchanging apparatus(2) comprises a container support(20), a holding unit(31), and first, second, third, and fourth driving units. The container support supports a jacket part(17) of a container(1) separated from a lower sidewall mold. The holding unit inserts a tread mold(14) between upper and lower holding member(31A,31B). The first and second driving elevates the upper and lower holding members, respectively. The third driving unit expands and contracts the upper and lower members in the diametrical direction of the container. The fourth driving unit relatively transfers the holding unit in the axis line of the container.
